Find Yourself at the Met—The Art of the Samurai
(Ages 15–18)


Join other teens in a program of free classes devoted to understanding art and exploring the Metropolitan Museum. All classes are based on works of art in the Museum's collection.View the exhibition Art of the Samurai: Japanese Arms and Armor, 1156–1868 and learn about the culture and times of feudal medieval Japan. The gallery discussion focuses on arms and armor, paintings, calligraphy, textiles, and other objects from this extraordinary time in Japan's history.
